It seems self-evident that the location of Ukraine at the crossroads of the West, South and East (complexes of cultures, religions, socio-economic models and political regimes) affects its past, present and future. However, only at the beginning of the 20th century, Ukrainian scientists began to take a serious interest in this phenomenon and, unfortunately, did not thoroughly study it until the beginning of the 21st century.
