The unique serial UKRAINE THROUGH THE CENTURIES is produced by the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, the Ukrainian Institute of Archeology and Institute of History. It consists of 15 volumes that recount Ukrainian history from ancient period till nowadays. The books are supplemented with pictures of architectural monuments, archeological things and photographs of people involved in the events covered by in this serial.// The book is dedicated to the history of formation and development of Halychian and Volynian lands, the rise of two principalities on their background, and their consolidation in 1199 into the Great Halychian- Volynian principality by Roman Mstyslavych.
