Martyr saints Anthony, John and Eustathius were courtiers executed by the order of grand Duke Algirdas. The work is devoted to the problems related to the life of these three martyrs of Vilnius, the subsequently developed cult and its political implications. The author analyses the two groups of historical interpretations connected with martyrdom existing nowadays and proposes his own point of view on the problem.
