The book is dedicated to the history of the first publications of “Kolyma Stories” by V. T. Shalamov by the New York “New Journal” in 1966–1976. (R.B. Gul was the full-fledged editor at that time), editorial staff M. Ya. Geller’s book “Kolyma Tales”, published in London in 1978, the first translations into English by John Glad. Consideration of the first publications inevitably leads to an awareness of the importance of further
