Together, the two girls fight for survival in unimaginably cruel and difficult conditions. Seventeen-year-old sister Magda stays at home with her mother and grandfather and hides from Nazi soldiers in a neighbor’s attic or in the forest. She manages to escape for a while, but in the end she too is captured and taken to the death camp. The three sisters meet again in the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp and, remembering their father, make a promise to each other - they will survive!
