“At the beginning of this book, we inform the church and public that three decades have passed since His Eminence Bishop of Sumadija (since 2002) Mr. Jovan Mladenovic was ordained as the Hierarch of our local Church as Bishop of Tetovo and Vicar of Serbian Patriarch Pavle. Several publications – memorials and collections – were prepared in the Sumadija Diocese about his hierarchal service, most often on the occasion of jubilees and even anniversaries, for which the most meritorious was the late Archpriest Savo Arsenijevic (+2020). Time has, it seems, confirmed that the memorials (on the occasion of the tenth and twentieth anniversary of the see of the Sumadija bishops), the collections of liturgical sermons published in 2018 and 2020, the diocesan schematism from 2009, as well as the diocesan magazine “Kalenic” and the internet portal of the Sumadija Diocese, contain authentic testimony to the sacramental and liturgical life led by Bishop Jovan among his eparchies, ensuring that “the Lord added to the Church daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). These publications, at the chronicle level, also contain many news items on the basis of which church history will be written at the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st centuries.
