The monograph is dedicated to the poetic work of Boris Yulianovich Poplavsky (1903–1935), a poet who emerged during the first wave of Russian emigration. Using the intertextual method of analysis of a literary text, the author explores 1) the place and role of the lyrical "I" in Poplavsky's poetic world, 2) the connection of his poetics with the literary movements preceding and contemporary to the poet, and 3) the meaning of the concepts of homeland, home and time in his poetry.
