Pavlo Zahrebelnyi (1924–2009) is a Ukrainian writer, Hero of Ukraine, laureate of the Shevchenko Prize. After being wounded and being in a concentration camp, he served with the British mission in Germany, after which he was detained and held in a Soviet infiltration camp. He worked as the editor-in-chief of the Literary Gazette. He was removed from the board of the Union of Writers of Ukraine due to denunciations.
