The publication includes articles and historical investigation materials of Metropolitan Olexandr (Drabynko), united by the idea of canonical independence (autocephaly) of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine. The first part - the journalistic part of the book, contains articles by Metropolitan Olexandr, written and published by the author in the Ukrainian media during 2016-2018, where issues related to canonical status, liturgical language and the restoration of the unity of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine are discussed. The second part of the book includes historical materials devoted to the topical issues of the Ukrainian church history.
