Details of the history of the Will of the brothers Evlogiy and Hristo Georgiev are set out in the book you hold in your hands. This story is long, it lasts from 1897 to 1924 and continues until 1942 when, not with Evlogiy Georgiev's money, but with state money, the first higher technical school was established, which later grew into the State Polytechnic. During these years, only 775 or 875 engineers and architects graduated from European polytechnics, who are "a small drop in the ocean" of the enormous needs for the country's nascent industry. The lack of engineering and technical intelligence has left domestic production to stagger in the agrarian ruts of backward Bulgarian agriculture, which has fed the people and supported its rulers. This is the sad truth that answers many questions that concern people, why we are lagging behind Europe.
