“The Stone of Faith” is a complete systematic exposition of the Orthodox doctrine. The book was written in 1718 by Stephen Yavorsky (1658–1722), an archbishop and statesman in the Russian Empire, one of the ablest coadjutors of Peter the Great and the first president of the Most Holy Synod, in defense of Orthodoxy during active promotion of the Protestantism and weakening of the Orthodox faith. “The Stone of Faith” was published in Old Church Slavonic three times - in 1728, 1730 and 1749. In Russian it is published for the first time.
