The book is devoted to the personality and biography of Vladimir Rikhter – the son of a “free navigator” and grandson of an Odessa police officer, who joined a socialist-revolutionary Central Committee party and became a member of the Constituent Assembly. He was a highly educated person, subtle amateur of the Ancient Roman and Italian art, the person who did not accept the October revolution and communist dictatorship.
