People from all over the world are still agitated with the tragedy of the Imperial family of the Romanovs, as well as the ominous gossips, different legends and mystifications which appeared after the atrocious murder. The authors call the reader’s attention to a large-scale investigation of this tragedy. Apart from the already known sources, the book is based on nearly 500 previously unpublished documents consisting of a number of photographs, memories and eye witnesses’ evidence. Having studied newly revealed historical materials related to the Romanovs’ life, the authors analyzed the facts carefully and made sensational conclusions that in many aspects are contradictory to a well-established version of the events.
