The monograph by Valeria Solovieva is the first specialized study of the history of the population of the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus within the borders of the Black Sea province, covering the period from the 19th century to 1926, and taking into account ethnodemographic, organizational-legal, and socio-economic contexts. The publication is accompanied by cartographic materials, tables, and diagrams illustrating the demographic situation during the period under review. The material was prepared by the author on the basis of census data processing, reports of the governors of the Black Sea province from 1897-1913, and many other documentary sources.
