On the basis of archival documents the author of the monograph professor, Doctor of Law A.A.Ialbulganov laid down the aim to investigate the issues of the setting and demographic development of the Nogay people from the Northern Caucasus in the XVIIth - XIXth centuries as well as to put into use new data on the above mentioned theme. The work does not claim to be a complex study but it represents an invitation to fundamental scientific searches in this field.
