This book is devoted to the struggle for Lithuanian independence. The Lithuanians wish to establish themselves in their historical capital was symbolized by the raising of the national flag on the Gediminas Hill. But the flag was hoisted several times for longer or shorter intervals, to be removed by aggressive neighbors again and again.
