It is the first publication of the book in Russia. The book describes the partisan republic in Lokot area and its leader, the commander of the 1st Russian division of SS-troops, Bronislav Vladislavovich Kaminsky. Alexander Dallin, American sovietologist, from a family of Russian emigrants (of the “first wave”). The participant of the so-called “Harvard Project” and “War Heritage Study project” that took place in 1940-50s. His monograph on Kaminski, published in the United States in 1972, is the first historical study of Lokot Republic, and its leader Bronislav Kaminsky.
