The monograph is dedicated to the study of the epic repertoire of the famous Kalmyk dzhangarchi Teltya Lidzhiev, recorded by H.Ts. Bitkeev in the summer of 1970 at the Erdnievsky state farm in the Yustinsky district of the Kalmyk ASSR during a folklore expedition. The audio recordings of the prologue and twelve songs transcribed by the author of this publication are being fully introduced into research circulation for the first time.
