The author of the present edition is an outstanding historian and folk expert of the XVIII-XIXth centuries. The history of the Carpathian Rusins was originally written in Latin and is for the first published in Ukrainian. It covers the most important events in the history of Ukraine and Hungary from the IXth up to the XVIIth centuries. The author sheds light upon political, social, cultural and religious situation in the Ukraine. It also narrates about prominent figures of that time, particularly about church and public figures.
