The monograph deals with the consideration of F. M. Dostoevsky’s five great novels («Crime and Punishment», «The Idiot», «The Devils», «The Juvenile», «The Brothers of Karamazov») through the prism of the genre laws of antinihilistic fiction. The analysis of Dostoevsky’s novels in specified aspect results in the conclusion: the writer’s orientation on genre canons of antinihilistic prose most often is the deviation from the tradition, its re-comprehension; but even taking into consideration the laws of antinihilistic novel, paying attention to the «topic of the day», Dostoevsky remains the exceedingly original author.
