This book is dedicated to the Gusii language, a Bantu language spoken in the Kisii district in western Kenya. The Gusii language is characterized by a great number of synthetic verb forms (nearly 150). Particular attention is drawn to the analysis of grammatical categories of the verb and communicative structure of the Gusii sentences. The publication is supplemented with original Gusii texts and their Russian translations.
