The book is dedicated to a significant monument of the grammatical thought – “The Grammar” of 1648, which has determined further destinies of the Church Slavic language and the prospects of Slavic-Russian philological tradition. This grammar is a second (revised and enlarged) edition of the grammar of Meletiy Smotritsky prepared by Michail Rogov and Ivan Nasedka. The publication is important for the history of literary language and has a key meaning for language consciousness of the Great Russian teachers of law reconstruction in the middle of the XVIIth century.
