The offered book gives the reader an opportunity to form a real picture of the proportions of communal ownership of land in the VIth-XVIIIth centuries in Georgia. In this period the bulk of arable lands and pastures were in communal ownership in the most advanced regions of Georgia. Two basic forms of communal arable land tenure in Georgia, periodic redistribution of lands, historical periods that the village community and communal land ownership underwent - these and many other aspects are touched upon in the book.
