The collection is devoted to the life and work of the first Russian photographer Alexei Fedorovich Grekov (1803-1855), a native of the Yaroslavl province. The author, working in the archives and libraries of the region, for the first time established the exact dates and circumstances of Grekov's life, the circle of his relatives and friends, compiled a genealogical tree of the glorious noble family of the Grekovs.
