On December 3, at 3 pm, the Museum of Belarusian Book Printing hosted a presentation of the book "The First Constitution of Ukraine, adopted by Hetman Philip Orlik on April 5, 1710 = The First Constitution of Ukraine, approved by Hetman Philip Orlik on April 5, 1710."
The publication of the book was timed to the 310th anniversary of the adoption of the historic document "Treaties and Resolutions of the Rights and Freedoms of the Military", now known as the "Constitution of Philip Orlik". Its author is Philip Stepanovich Orlik, a Belarusian, a native of the village of Kasuta, Vileyka district, Minsk region.
The book was prepared and first published in Belarusian on the initiative of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Public Association of Ukrainians "Vatra" with the help of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of these institutions are expected to take part in the presentation.
