The book presents the period of Early Modernism in Ukraine in the context of global history. Such a framework of globality allows us to take a different look at the course of events on Ukrainian lands, outside the concepts of state (imperial and national) modern historiographers. She also clarifies the European and global context of the challenges that modern Ukrainians have created. The focus of the study is the “structure” of Ukrainian Early Modernism and its historical experience, which makes this “transitional” period the beginning of modernity.
