Synik was one of the industrial centers of Armenian medieval culture. During the research on bibliography of Armenian medieval art of miniature of the Xth - XIXth centuries at the Mashtots Matenadaran, the authors had the chance of studying the rich collection of illustrated manuscipts. Their attention was drawn to unknown manuscripts.
