The collective monograph is focused on archeological textile from burial grounds of Pazyryk culture. Now it is kept at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Science and in the State Hermitage. Colored textile is examined from the point of determination of ancient dyestuff kinds and sources, description of Altai dye plants, identification of plant residues, possible dyestuff of inorganic origin. This scientific investigation is unique and has no analogues in the world practice by the scope of tasks and methods.
