Melita Rundek (Zagreb, February 8, 1961), Croatian writer. She wrote for various magazines (Plima, Draga, Modra lasta, Prvi izbor) and for the show Bedtime Stories on Croatian Radio. She worked with gifted children organized by the Ministry of Education and Sports, organized a series of creative writing workshops, participated in a program with exiled children and in judging commissions for evaluating children's works, and held a large number of meetings with children in schools and libraries throughout Croatia. He works as a librarian-informer in the Libraries of the City of Zagreb. Melita Rundek has written twenty-one titles, seventeen of which are for children and young people. She received the 1st prize "Ivana Brlic-Maћuranic" for the year 1999 for the manuscript of the novel Dogs are not allowed. Melita Rundek is a member of the Society of Croatian Writers and the Croatian Society of Writers for Children and Youth.
