The first volume of the series "Tatar epigraphic tradition" consists of 2 books and it is dedicated to the description of Bulgarian epigraphic monuments of the 13th–14th centuries. Epigraphic monuments located in the city of Bolgar are introduced in the first book. Generally, the series suggests a wide presentation of Tatar epigraphic heritage in the areal and historical context, based on the chronological principle.
