L'viv archaeologist, Professor Lev Kovalevych, goes to the Carpathians to dig and search for the treasures of Oleksa Dovbush. An artist who doesn't make life too difficult for himself and likes to drink, a variety singer and her younger smuggler brother also go with him. They themselves do not yet suspect the role of each in this story.
