The study is dedicated to the church monastic landed estate in IX-XIII centuries of one of the largest historical regions of Armenia – Syunik. The work is written on the basis of lapidary inscriptions and written sources containing the richest and exceptionally valuable material, considerable part of which is studied for the first time. The work is based on the data of medieval Armenian historiography comprising essential information about legal and economic privileges and Armenian clergy local activity, the nature of church monastic landed estate, crops agricultural processing forms and methods in monastery possessions, the tithe collection system.
