Symbols and symbolism are a very important part of our original natural culture and spirituality. At the same time, they are the key to understanding the spiritual world of our ancient ancestors. They affect us through graphic and geometric signs, letters, mythical (mythological) creatures, fairy-tale heroes, numbers, colors, heraldic symbols, symbolic places and figures, plant and mineral symbols and various other symbols recorded in folk culture and literature. They convey certain messages and ideas to their surroundings. This mysterious world of ideas, thinking and the way of seeing the world of our ancient ancestors contained in their culture and symbols may seem incomprehensible to our reason and the so-called scientific view of the world at first glance. Archaeology, ethnography, heraldry, folklore, linguistics and other sciences, scientific disciplines and teachings contribute to the discovery of this valuable cultural heritage of the Slavs. Slavic symbolism is the common cultural heritage of all Slavic peoples and therefore also belongs to us, the Carpathian and Danube Slavs.
