The 21st century is a period in which fundamental transformations and changes occur in the knowledge-based society structure. The phenomenon of education, which is one of the basic dynamics of social life, has also been affected by this change and transformation process and has gained an understanding based on theories and practices that emphasize skills such as constructivist, multiple intelligences, project-based learning and problem solving, critical thinking, effective communication, instead of traditional education practices. Therefore, it has become a necessity to develop and apply new assessment and evaluation approaches in line with the nature of these adopted learning theories. However, traditional assessment does not take into account the different knowledge, skills and developmental aspects of students, and has an understanding that only tries to determine what behaviors students have acquired at the end of learning and at what level.
