This book is a collection of thematic essays, written under the influence of the BELTA news agency exhibition "Parallel Worlds". The government and the opposition, actions and slogans, creation and destruction - this is what the exhibition and book are about. The author shares memories and reasoning about the development of Belarus since 1994, talks about the superposition in which the country was in certain periods. Different positions of "parallel worlds" are shown with the help of posters and multiple evidences of history - archival materials, current statistics, clippings from newspapers of the mid-1990s and screenshots of modern mass media websites. The reader can appreciate the opposition's long-standing demands to demonize the reality of Belarus, on the one hand, and the government's efforts to develop the country, on the other.
