The monograph focuses on the concepts of storytelling, identity and disability and positions their coherence within the scope of contemporary literary theory. The issue of identity formation is viewed through literature as a medium that can be influenced by that formation, and in that sense those identities that appear to be different are particularly interesting: on the social margins, oppressed, traumatized.
