The book of the leading Slovak heraldist provides a comprehensive view of the complex period of 1938-1945 and its reflection in numerous heraldic proposals for the expression of the new political reality in individual parts of the broken Czechoslovakia. He also notes the use of Czechoslovak and Slovak symbolism in the second resistance.
