In the monograph, for the first time in domestic historiography, the process of establishment and development of the customs service of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania as a body in the system of customs administration in the second half of the 18th century is considered. The prerequisites and reasons for the creation of the state customs service of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania are analyzed, the periods of its reformation are characterized, and its role in the implementation of the customs and economic policy is shown. Considerable attention is paid to the issue of staffing of the customs service. The book contains a dictionary of the main historical terms, a catalog of the highest positions of the customs service, maps of the location of customs points during the Great Patriotic War in different periods of the second half of the 18th century, and also based on archival materials. documents, a historical reconstruction of the service uniform of customs officers was made. The publication was prepared within the framework of the State Program of Scientific Research for 2016-2020 "Economics and Humanitarian Development of the Belarusian Society", subprogramme "History and Culture". It is addressed to researchers, teachers, students, employees of customs authorities, as well as to everyone who is interested in the history of Belarus.
