The book presents photographs of twenty Stalin's doubles that were published in Russian literature and considered to be pictures of true Iosif Vissarionovich. When studying these photographs, the author paid attention to the fact that there are no Stalin's pictures made after 1934. Basing on this and some other circumstances, he came to the conclusion that Stalin has been killed in 1934 and could not participate in the organization of the 'Great Terror' in 1935-1953. The reader is given an opportunity to form his own point of view on the problem.
