Traditional systems of the use of natural resources and their transformation during the socialistic period among the Khanty - population of the Lower Priob'e (region at the river Ob) - are considered in this report. It also contains the analysis of modern branches of economy in the region. Particular attention is paid to the legislation on natural resources and to the practice of land usage in the region. The data, collected in July-August of 1999 has formed the basis for the report.
