The book is written by the daughter of General Alekseev, Vera M. Alekseeva-Borel. During the long years of emigration she was working at the manuscript comprising her personal memoirs, recollections and stories about different events and people, as well as documents of the famous Argentinean archives of the Alekeevs. The book is a narration about Mikhail V. Alekseev's life and fate that depicts the most dramatic milestones of Russian history.
