The author of the book R.B.Unarokova grounds the conception of artistic nature of the Adygean song culture by means of the exploration of the level of its self-descriptiveness. In the course of the research the author uses over 500 texts of the Adygean folk songs kept in the archives of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachai-Circassia as well as the texts recorded by the author during her numerous expeditions to the places of original residence of the Adygeans and the most significant places of residence of Adygean diaspora.
