The book offered to readers is dedicated to the life and work of a prominent statesman and public figure of Karakalpakstan, Koptleyu Nurmukhamedov (1903-1938). Many readers interested in the history of our region know the works of Candidate of Historical Sciences Kh. Esbergenov about the first chairman of the government of Karakalpakstan, who during a difficult period of history made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the national economy, culture and art of our republic. In the new edition, the authors, having largely supplemented previous works with new evidence, information from documentary materials and epistolary sources, tried to recreate a holistic picture of the historical period through the life of K.
