The volume of the Smolensk region book "Soldiers of the Victory" consists of 2 parts. In the 1st part materials on ranks, orders and medals, the article "Pages of the Heroic History of the Smolensk Region" are presented. The names of all Smolensk people, who distinguished themselves on the way to the Victory (Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Socialist Labor, Holders of the Glory Order of three degrees, higher rank officers of the USSR Armed Forces, participants of Parades of Victory in Moscow) are mentioned. The part is finished with the chapter "On the Pages of the Region Press".
The 2nd part of the volume is devoted to the Rudnya and Yelnya regions. The names of participants of the Great Patriotic War, biographies of those who distinguished themselves in action and the national economy restoration, articles about the postwar life of soldiers of the region are included in materials of each region.
