The book covers urgent, but previously little-studied problem of social and economic development of the Lower Terek Cossacks in the post reform period (the 1860s - the beginning of the XXth century). The authors study problems connected with the history of formation, development and integration of the Lower Terek Cossacks into the structure of Russian statehood.
