Many historical and anthropological analyzes convincingly show that the twentieth century, due to Fascist, National Socialist and Communist violence, was a century of suffering, which is not the case in all human history. All wars are terrible because of bloody conflicts, but national socialism and communism have not been satisfied with the military engagement of foreign lands and the establishment of their own power, but they have added to this the essential part of their ideology: the maltreatment and extermination of a certain race or "social class".
Slovenia has bled all three totalitarianisms. If the occupation lasted only a few years, the communist violence lasted fifty years and is still very much present in the memory of the people. It can therefore be an excellent starting point for discussion of evil.
