The anthology is the first attempt to realize a joint scientific project by Russian and Macedonian scholars. Macedonian scientists consider a wide spectrum of problems concerning historical development of Macedonia from the Middle Ages up to the second half of the XXth century. Russian Slavic researchers explore the development of public thought, the culture of Slavonic nations, and the development of their ethnic identity. Some important archival documents on the history of Russian-Macedonian relations at the beginning of the XXth century are provided.
