According to ancient Greek myths, Sisyphus was glorious by organizing the Isthmus Games, with athletic and equestrian competitions (second by the importance after the Olympic Games), was married to one of Pleiades and managed to stay alive twice going out from the kingdom of Hades. Still, none of these facts explain why ancient gods condemned Sisyphus to wearisome and senseless work after his death. The author (former actor, now a collaborator of the Russian service "Voices of America") tries to reveal this secret, but the work on this novel drives him to unexpected events.
