The monograph was published with the help of German anti-fascists. In the course of twenty years the author studied the history of German war-prisoners. In documents collected by him and introduced in the book one can find everything connected with the topic: many personal stories of the prisoners; registration process, camp structure and transportation of the prisoners; camp administration and Soviet politics towards war prisoners.
