The monograph is devoted to secondary seminary problems, that lived through a cruelest crisis in the beginning of the XXth century. Outwardly the crisis was expressed in the following: a significant part of the students not only fell into a reverie about revolution, but actively strived to escape from the spiritual environment and to begin a way of revolution terror. On the example of Saratov seminary the author analyses causes, shows the main manifestations of this crisis and describes the proposed ways out. Documents related to secondary seminary in general and the history of Saratov seminary in particular as well as materials of the biographical dictionary are presented in the supplement.
